February’s nearly done – is your practice ready for spring?

Happy Sunday.

February is wrapping up, and if yours has felt like a blur of back-to-back clients, unfinished admin, and wondering where on earth January went – you’re not alone.

This week I want to talk about something that doesn’t get said enough. And then I want to look forward, because there’s a lot of good stuff coming your way in March.

The invisible weight you’re carrying

There’s a particular kind of tiredness that comes with running a wellbeing practice. And it’s not the kind people ask you about.

It’s not the emotional weight of your client work – although that’s real too. It’s the other stuff. The admin that sits quietly alongside everything else, never quite urgent enough to deal with, but never quiet enough to ignore.

The invoice you haven’t sent. The policy you know needs updating. The waiting list you keep meaning to review. The email you’ve opened three times and still haven’t replied to.

None of it is dramatic. None of it is a crisis. But all of it takes up space in your head. And when you’re already holding space for other people all day, that background noise of unfinished admin becomes surprisingly heavy.

I call it the invisible weight.

Because nobody sees it. Nobody asks about it in supervision. And most wellbeing professionals just absorb it and carry on.

But it’s there. And over time, it drains you in ways that are hard to pinpoint but impossible to ignore.

If you’ve been feeling a low-level hum of “I should really sort that out” for weeks now – that’s the invisible weight talking. And you don’t have to keep carrying it alone.

A moment of recognition

This week marks the beginning of Eating Disorders Awareness Week, and I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge that.

Not with advice. Not with statistics. Just with recognition. 💚

Because the practitioners working in eating disorder support – whether that’s your primary specialism or part of a broader caseload – carry a particular kind of weight. The complexity of that work, the emotional toll, the long roads to recovery. It’s not easy. And it matters more than most people realise.

If that’s you, I see you. The work you’re doing is important. And you deserve the same level of support you give your clients.💚💚

Looking ahead to March

Right then – enough of the heavy stuff. Let’s talk about what’s coming.

March is one of my favourite months!! The mornings are getting lighter, the energy shifts, and there’s a natural pull towards clearing out the old and making space for what’s next.

So that’s exactly what we’re going to do.

Here’s a taste of what’s coming in March across my social channels and right here in your inbox:

🌸 Admin spring clean – practical tips for tidying up your systems, policies, and processes ready for a fresh start.

💚International Women’s Day (8 March) – a celebration of the women who make up the backbone of the wellbeing profession. Which, let’s be honest, is most of you.

🌿Weekly practical tips – from client onboarding systems to handling late payments, tool recommendations to GDPR without the headache. Real, actionable stuff you can use straight away.

🍃Template Library spotlights – because if your spring clean uncovers a few gaps in your documents (and it probably will), I’ve got you covered.

It’s going to be a good month. Make sure you’re following along on LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook so you don’t miss anything.

Over to you 💐

Before March arrives, I’ve got one question for you:

If you could wave a magic wand and fix one thing in your practice admin before spring, what would it be?

Maybe it’s your filing system. Maybe it’s your pricing. Maybe it’s just the overwhelming feeling of not knowing where to start.

Hit the comments and tell me. I read every single one – and the answers genuinely shape what I create next. Your magic wand wish might just become next month’s template.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday. Spring is nearly here.
