Happy International Women's Day

Hello Sunday & Happy International Women's Day. ๐ŸŒธ

This year's theme is #GiveToGain - the idea that when we invest in women, through support, mentorship, resources, and time, everyone benefits.

It's a principle of reciprocity, and honestly? It sits at the heart of why I do what I do. So many of the incredible practitioners I work with are women building meaningful practices, holding space for others, doing deeply important work, often while managing everything behind the scenes too.

Today feels like a good moment to say: you deserve the same level of support you give your clients.

Right, with that said — here's what's been happening in the world of wellbeing this week.

๐Ÿ‘‡ ๐Ÿ“…Awareness Days

This Week Alongside IWD on 8th March, here are a few others worth having on your radar:

  • Young Carers' Action Day -11th March, a timely reminder of the often-invisible caring responsibilities many of your clients may be carrying
  • University Mental Health Day - 12th March (#UniMentalHealthDay) a great one for coaches and counsellors working with younger adults
  • World Sleep Day - 13th March, relevant for nutritionists and wellness coaches especially; sleep is still one of the most underrated pillars of health
  • UK Mother's Day - 15th March, worth acknowledging in any content you share this weekend

๐Ÿ“ฐ Industry Update: The NHS Gap & What It Means For You

Some numbers worth knowing this week.

A recent YouGov poll found that 90% of UK adults feel their health is managed reactively - only addressed when something goes wrong.

Just one in ten believe their long-term wellbeing is being proactively guided by the current healthcare system. And separately, research shows that over 60% of Britons are now actively seeking holistic care, driven by a growing recognition that the NHS — brilliant as it is — simply wasn't designed to deliver the kind of personalised, whole-person support that therapists, counsellors, coaches and nutritionists provide every day.

This isn't a trend. It's a shift. And it means the demand for your work has never been greater. (Source: wecovr.com — read the full piece here)

๐Ÿ’ธ But What About the Cost of Living?

It wouldn't be an honest roundup without acknowledging this: around 1 in 3 Britons say they've had to cut back on wellness habits due to cost-of-living pressures.

For some clients, access to support is getting harder, not easier. That's a real challenge for practitioners - and it's worth thinking about how you communicate your value, your accessibility, and your payment options.

It's also a reminder of why clear, professional admin matters. When someone is weighing up whether they can afford to invest in their wellbeing, the experience of booking, communicating with, and paying a practitioner needs to feel effortless and trustworthy.

First impressions count! Paperwork counts! Responsiveness counts! This is something I think about a lot, and it's part of why I do what I do.

โšก The Admin Power Hour - Let's Sort It Together

Sometimes you don't just need a template. You need someone to sit down with you, look at what's actually going on in your practice, and help you work out a clear plan.

That's exactly what the Admin Power Hour is for.

45 minutes. One focused session. A written action plan to take away.

We'll cut through the overwhelm, identify what actually needs your attention, and make sure your practice runs as smoothly as the work you do with your clients.

£150 for a one-off session — and you'll leave with a clear, practical plan in writing.
