The Owner-Optional Sprint

You have already tried delegating.

You hired someone. You wrote the list. You handed it over. Six months later you are just as busy, with more people around you.

The Owner-Optional Sprint is twelve weeks to move one part of your business off your desk permanently, with the systems built and handed to your team before we finish.

£2,950, or three payments of £985.

Why the last attempt did not work.

The task moved. The authority did not.

Here is what usually happens when a founder delegates. Someone else does the work now. But you still decide how it gets done, when it is finished, and whether it is good enough. The activity moved. The thinking did not. All you have added is a layer between yourself and the work, which is why it feels like managing rather than relief.

That is not a failure of hiring. It is not a sign you picked the wrong person, and it is not something to fix by trying harder next time.

It is a gap in how the business was designed, and design gaps can be closed.

What twelve weeks looks like

Weeks 1 to 2: Find the gap that costs you most

We map your business across the five domains of founder dependency: decisions, knowledge, delivery, revenue and resilience.

Then we narrow to the one domain costing you the most, and agree in writing exactly which three systems get built.

Weeks 3 to 6: Build, with your team in the room

Your team helps shape what they will be asked to run. Systems your team did not help design are systems your team will not use.

Week five is the session where we write your Authority Transfer agreement: what each named person can now decide, up to what limit, without asking you.

Weeks 7 to 8: Handover, then silence

Your team takes ownership of the three systems.

Then you go quiet for a week. I will be on hand if anything goes wrong.

A system that only works while you are watching has not reduced anything.

Week eight is where you find out what actually holds without you in the center.

Weeks 9 to 11: Run it, adjust it, run it again

Two check-ins to catch what came back to you that should not have, and a refinement session if one is needed. Another quiet week in between.

Week 12: Re-score

You take the same assessment you started with. We compare it to your baseline, walk what moved and what did not, and hand you the roadmap for everything else that surfaced along the way.

What you end up with.

Built and handed over systems.

Three of your systems built and handed over, not just designed.

Authority transfer agreement.

A written Authority Transfer agreement naming what your team can decide alone.

Full implementation roadmap.

A full implementation roadmap for everything else we found.

Baseline re-score.

A re-score at week twelve against your original baseline.

A Closing Report

A closing report you can hand to anyone who needs to understand how the business now runs

You will also receive a Free re-score at 6 months, which we book at the end of the 12 weeks.

Who this is for.

This is for you if:

  • Your business is established and generating revenue, but still runs through you for almost everything.
  • You have a team of roughly two to twenty people.
  • You have hired help before and it did not reduce the load the way you expected.
  • You are capable and busy rather than struggling to find clients.

This is not for you if:

  • You are pre-revenue or still proving the concept.
  • You want someone to take tasks off your plate rather than change how the work is structured.
  • You are looking for a done-for-you service that runs indefinitely.

Start smaller if you would rather

Most people come to the Sprint through the Business Operations Audit.

The Audit is £495 and takes ten working days. You get an independent assessment of where your business depends on you, a score across all five domains, and a written report with a clear first move.

If you book a Sprint within 30 days of your Audit debrief, the £495 comes off the Sprint fee in full.

So the Audit is either a complete piece of work in its own right, or it is the first £495 of the Sprint. It is not a cost you carry twice.

Frequently asked questions

What counts as a system?

Anything your business does repeatedly that currently needs you. Client onboarding. Invoicing and chasing. Handover between team members. Enquiry to proposal. We agree the three in week one and confirm them in writing before any build work starts.

What if we find more than three things?

You will. Everything else goes on your implementation roadmap with the reasoning, so you can build it yourselves later, or quote it separately if you would rather I did.

Twelve weeks feels like a long commitment.

It is twelve weeks of elapsed time, not twelve weeks of your diary. Seven sessions in total, two of which are 45 minutes. Two weeks have no contact at all by design.

What if my team resists?

That usually means the thresholds are unclear rather than the team being difficult. The working sessions exist partly to surface that early. It is a normal part of the twelve weeks.

What if the re-score has barely moved?

Then I will tell you that plainly, and we will look at why. Twelve weeks is a short time and one domain is one domain. You will get an honest number rather than a flattering one, because a score you cannot trust is worth nothing to you.

Can I pay monthly?

Three payments of £985, the first before we start. The total is the same either way.

Do you do the work, or do we?

I build the systems. Your team helps shape them and then runs them. If I built them alone and handed them over, you would have documentation rather than a change in how the business works.

What happens at the end?

Nothing, unless you want it to. Some clients take ongoing support, some take a quote for more systems from the roadmap, and some go and run what they have. Your independence is the point of the programme.

Find out where you actually stand

The Founder Dependency Score is twenty questions across the five domains. It takes about ten minutes, it is free, and there is nothing to book at the end of it.

You get a score out of 100 and a performance band immediately, which tells you which part of your business is costing you most.

Twelve weeks from now, one part of your business will run without you.

Or it will still be running through you, the way it did last quarter and the quarter before.

Sprint places are limited, because each one includes hands-on build work.
