Hi, I'm Gemma - founder of Hunter & Co.
I started this business because I'd seen what happens when brilliant, purpose-driven people get buried under the weight of running their own operation.
I'd worked inside a multi-practitioner counselling service. I'd watched capable, talented professionals spending their best hours on admin, processes and paperwork rather than the work they'd actually trained to do. I knew the landscape - the professional bodies, the compliance requirements, the unique pressures of the well-being sector - and I knew I could help.
So I built Hunter & Co. around that knowledge.
And then something shifted.
Because the more I worked with business owners - whether they ran a therapy practice, a coaching business, a consultancy or a growing SME - the more I realised the problem was the same.
Brilliant people, doing important work, quietly drowning in the operational side of running a business.
That's what Hunter & Co. exists to fix.

What Hunter & Co. actually does
We take the back-end of your business off your plate.
Not just the tasks - though we do those too. The mental load. The things you're carrying around in your head at 11pm. The processes that live nowhere except your memory. The follow-ups that fall through the cracks. The systems that don't exist yet but desperately should.
We provide virtual assistant and online business management support for two types of clients:
Small business owners
Who are growing fast but haven't got the operational structure to match, and need someone who can come in, take ownership, and make the engine room run properly.
Wellbeing professionals
Therapists, counsellors, coaches, nutritionists, who need a VA they can trust completely, who already understands their world without needing a three-hour briefing.
In both cases, the goal is the same: you get your time back, your headspace back, and the freedom to do the work that only you can do.

I also know what it's like to build something from scratch while juggling everything else life throws at you. I'm a mum of two, based in Littlehampton in West Sussex, and I built this business around a life - not the other way around. That perspective matters. It's why I understand your capacity constraints better than most.
